Albertin Montoya, who coached FC Gold Pride to the 2010 WPS championship, will serve as interim head coach of the Washington Spirit for the team’s final five games of the season. Montoya is currently the technical director at California youth club MVLA. Montoya previously coached the U-17 U.S. women. “My goal is to provide the best possible experience for these players and… build the foundation for the future of the Washington Spirit organization,” he said.
