Former D.C. United player and coach Ben Olsen is the new president of the Washington Spirit. The club says Olsen will “oversee all day-to-day operations, driving the development of the team’s business and sporting operations, and the overall effort to enhance the club’s culture and identity.” Spirit owner Steve Baldwin was quoted in the press release, but not equity partner Y. Michele Kang, which is notable given the ongoing power struggle.
