The Washington Spirit have been suspended from NWSL governance since late September following a league investigation. Team ownership’s lack of resolution to its ongoing drama around an impending sale means the Spirit are still suspended, which also means that the team did not participate in the final vote on the collective bargaining agreement which was ratified, a league spokesperson confirmed to The Equalizer. The CBA was otherwise unanimously approved by the NWSL Board of Governors.
