The U.S. women’s national team won’t hold a January training camp for the first time since 2013. NWSL preseason starts later this month and the first Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup (in an official FIFA window) starts Feb. 17. The January camp is a staple of the program even if an oddity globally: it has been held, typically in greater LA, in 22 of the last 26 years. January, however, is not an official FIFA window.
