The United States exited the U-20 Women’s World Cup at the group stage for the second consecutive tournament after losing to the Netherlands and Japan in the group stage. The U.S. defeated Ghana in the group opener for its only victory of the tournament. The U.S. has won the biennial U-20 World Cup (this is the first since 2018 due to the pandemic) three times, but not since 2012.
