The U.S. women’s national team has returned to the top of the FIFA rankings after winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The victory broke a 12-year gold medal streak and elevated the squad from its lowest all-time ranking at fifth place. England came in second in the new rankings followed by World Cup champion Spain, Germany and Sweden. Spain previously held the top ranking.
