USL Fort Lauderdale has appointed Tyrone Mears as the club’s first coach. Mears is an academy graduate of Manchester City FC with experience playing at Premier League clubs like Preston North End FC, West Ham United and Burnley FC. He also played in the United States, winning the 2016 MLS Cup with Seattle Sounders FC. Mears most recently served as an academy coach at Inter Miami CF, developing players on the men’s and women’s sides.
