On Tuesday, Oct. 28 it was announced that two NWSL teams — the Kansas City Current and the San Diego Wave — will play in the World Sevens Football (W7F) tournament from Dec. 5-7 in Davie, Florida. The tournament’s other teams are AFC Toronto (CAN), Club América and Tigres Femenil (MEX), Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (BRA) and Deportivo Cali Femenino (COL). The tournament is played 7v7-style and the event has a total prize pool of $5 million.
