Twila Kilgore, who served as an assistant coach for the U.S. women’s national team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has elected to leave the team and pursue other opportunities. Prior to the arrival of Emma Hayes, Kilgore led the USWNT to a pair of titles in the Concacaf W Gold Cup and 2024 She Believes Cup as an interim coach. She compiled a 10-1-3 record. According to a U.S. Soccer release, Kilgore was the first American-born woman to earn a U.S. Soccer Pro license. She also holds a UEFA “A” Coaching License and U.S. Soccer “A” License. Kilgore has experience as a head coach at the NCAA Division 1 level and has been an assistant in the National Women’s Soccer League with the Houston Dash.
