Chicago Red Stars defender Tierna Davidson will miss the remainder of the NWSL season with a torn ACL, the team announced on Monday. Davidson’s injury occurred in training last week. The timing of her absence means she will also miss World Cup qualifying for the United States this summer. Davidson was a member of the 2019 World Cup-winning team. She was to be the focal point of Chicago’s new three-back system.
