Alyssa Thompson has declared for the NWSL Draft, a source with knowledge tells The Equalizer. Thompson, 18, is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday. Angel City FC obtained the No. 1 pick from Gotham FC specifically to acquire Thompson, The Equalizer previously. The LA native debuted for the U.S. in October. She previously committed to Stanford. PSG also showed interest after she and her sister trained with the team in 2021.
