San Diego Wave FC won’t trade the No. 1 pick in Saturday’s NWSL Draft, Wave coach Casey Stoney said on Friday. Stoney said “many teams” inquired about the first pick, but “we have been adamant throughout the last six weeks of this process… we will not be moving. We value the player we are going to pick very highly. Stoney didn’t name names, but FSU midfielder Jaelin Howell is widely considered the best player available.
