San Diego Wave FC coach Casey Stoney signed a multiyear contract extension that will keep the NWSL’s 2022 Coach of the Year in place through the 2027 season. There is also a mutual option for 2028. Stoney made history as the first coach to lead an expansion club to the playoffs in its inaugural season. The club also won the 2023 NWSL Shield. She has a 21-10-13 record in two seasons at the helm.
