Landon Donovan’s time as interim coach of San Diego Wave FC is over, the club announced on Monday. The club said it is “nearing the final stages of their search” for a new head coach” and plans to announce the person “within the coming weeks.” Donovan went 3-6-1 in league play since taking over on August 16. He was San Diego’s second interim of the year after Casey Stoney was fired in June.
