U.S. Soccer says that they year-long independent investigation into allegations of abusive behavior and sexual misconduct in women’s soccer, which has been led by former U.S. attorney general Sally Q. Yates, “is nearing its conclusion.” The federation plans to publish the report in full “by early October.” Five of 10 NWSL coaches in 2021 were fired for cause or allowed to leave amid allegations of misconduct. Four more coaches came under investigation this year.
