The U.S. women’s national team will be without midfielder Rose Lavelle for their opening match of the SheBelieves Cup, against Canada, on Thursday. Lavelle had, according to The Equalizer’s Jeff Kassouf who is in Orlando, “ice on her left knee and a wrap around her upper calf” during U.S. training on Wednesday. A U.S. Soccer spokesperson called the injury a “knock.” The injury occurred during training.
