Chicago Red Stars players released joint team statements on Monday supporting the removal of Arnim Whisler as chairman of the club’s board and calling for his removal as majority owner. They say they “were dubious about Whisler’s assertion” last year that he knew nothing of former head coach Rory Dames’ abusive past, and “it wasn’t until the [Sally Yates] report was released that the extent of his dishonesty became clear.
