The Orlando Pride beat the Washington Spirit 1-0 to capture the NWSL championship. A goal from Barbra Banda in the first half was all the Orlando team needed to secure the championship. Strong attempts and control from Washington managed to keep the game close and possession even, but the Spirit were no match for the Pride, who won the first championship in franchise history.
