Portugal has made history, qualifying for their first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup. Portugal earned one of the final three spots for the World Cup in the FIFA inter-confederation playoffs, which is taking place in New Zealand, with a 2-1 victory over Cameroon. Diana Gomes scored in the 22nd minute, while Carole Costa supplied the game-winning goal in the 94+4′ minute on a penalty kick. Ajara Nchout scored for Cameroon.
