Portland Thorns and Timbers supporters released a joint statement on Tuesday night demanding “the immediate and complete removal of [general manager] Gavin Wilkinson from the PTFC organization,” following revelations that the Thorns investigated Paul Riley in 2015 but did not reveal that publicly until last week. The list of demands included a call for the creation of a diversity officer position. The groups called for members to boycott concessions and merchandise sales.
