Mike Norris is the new head coach of the Portland Thorns. The Oregonian’s Ryan Clarke first reported the news. Norris, who was Rhian Wilkinson’s assistant coach in 2022, will be introduced by the team on Monday. The Thorns won the 2022 NWSL Championship. Wilkinson resigned a few weeks later, when it became public that she had been investigated (and subsequently cleared) for romantic exchanges with Thorns defender Emily Menges.
