The National Women’s Soccer League will soon name a new commissioner. People familiar with the process tell The Equalizer that the league recently conducted a final round of interviews with candidates, and an announcement of a new hire is expected soon. The league’s competitions schedule kicks off with the Challenge Cup on March 18. Marla Messing has been the interim CEO since mid-October, following the resignation of former commissioner Lisa Baird.
