The NWSL will trial video assistant review (VAR) this week for the first time in a match scenario involving league teams after months of training, The Equalizer has learned. On Wednesday, San Diego Wave FC will use VAR during an intra-squad scrimmage inside Snapdragon Stadium. On Thursday, VAR will be used at Exploria Stadium when the Orlando Pride host the Kansas City Current in a preseason match. The NWSL will use VAR beginning this season.
