The record for attendance at an NWSL playoff game fell twice on Sunday, the first round of the 2022 postseason. The Houston Dash announced a record crowd (for the franchise and the NWSL playoffs) of 21,284. Houston lost to the Kansas City Current, 2-1. A few hours later, the San Diego Wave announced a crowd of 26,215 fans for their 2-1, extra-time win over the Chicago Red Stars.
