Portland Thorns and Timbers owner Merritt Paulson announced that he has removed himself “from all Thorns-related decision making” until the NWSL and NWSLPA joint investigation is released. President of business Mike Golub and president of soccer Gavin Wilkinson have done the same. The news comes one day after Sally Yates’ report detailing sexual abuse in the NWSL. Earlier Tuesday, Portland fans called for Paulson to sell the team and Golub and Wilkinson to be fired.
