Megan Rapinoe will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor for a U.S. civilian, recognizing “people who have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors.” Rapinoe will miss the U.S.’ July 7 qualifier against Jamaica to get the award in Washington, D.C. Calling back to 2019, she said Friday: “I’m going to the f***ing White House.”
