Matt Crocker is the new sporting director of U.S. Soccer. He will officially begin on August 2 but will immediately start working with the U.S. women’s national team on World Cup preparations, in addition to finding a head coach for the U.S. men’s team. Crocker is finishing his term as director of football operations for men’s Premier League club Southampton. Crocker helped the FA establish the “England DNA.” He will oversee the entire sporting department.
