Marta returned to the pitch on Thursday, after injuring her knee last year with the Orlando Pride, for the Brazilian women’s national team during the SheBelieves Cup opener against Japan. Marta, playing at her club’s Exploria Stadium, made an immediate impact, coming on as a sub in the 68th minute for Beatriz, and assisted Debinha just four minutes later. Marta hadn’t played a match in 327 days. Brazil won over Japan, 1-0.
