Mark Parsons and the Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) have decided to mutually terminate his contract to coach the women’s national team. Parsons was hired in May 2021, while still coaching the Portland Thorns of the NWSL. He was the successor of Sarina Wiegman, who won the 2022 UEFA EURO with England. The Dutch were eliminated in this year’s EURO in the quarterfinals against France, after winning the tournament in 2017.
