Meleana “Mana” Shim has taken the role of Chair for U.S. Soccer’s Participant Safety Taskforce. The role was created following the release of Sally Q. Yates’ independent investigation report. Shim was one of the players to come forward with allegations of abuse against Paul Riley. Shim said in a statement, “I love this sport, and I believe we have an opportunity in this moment to protect players and set a new standard for all sports…”
