Lynn Williams needs surgery on what the Kansas City Current called “an acute injury to her right leg,” and she will miss the entire 2022 NWSL season, her first with the club. United States coach Vlatko Andonovski clarified that it is a hamstring injury. Williams will also miss World Cup qualifying for the United States. She was injured in the final minutes of the Current’s opening game of the Challenge Cup on March 18.
