Lucy Rushton has been hired as the first general manager of 2024 NWSL expansion team Bay FC, ESPN first reported and EQZ confirmed. Rushton was most recently the GM of MLS side D.C. United. She was previously head of technical recruitment and analysis for Atlanta United. Per ESPN, Rushton’s background in analytics appealed to Bay FC. Also on Wednesday, Bay FC announced former Levi Strauss VP Brady Stewart as the team’s first CEO.
