NWSL veteran Kealia Watt (currently a free agent) and her husband, recently retired NFL veteran JJ Watt, have invested in English club Burnley. In a press release, the couple referenced the appeal of getting involved in a club that has existed since 1882. Kealia Watt specifically mentioned her excitement to help grow Burnley’s women’s team, which currently plays in the third tier. Burnley’s men’s team just earned promotion back to the Premier League.
