The Kansas City Current have fired Carlos Jimenez for breaking the NWSL’s non-fraternization policy. Jimenez had been the head of the team’s medical department since December. The Athletic first reported the firing, and multiple sources told The Athletic that the policy violation involved a relationship with a Kansas City player. Jimenez previously worked as a physical therapist for the Washington Spirit in 2023 and for the U.S. women’s national team from 2019 to 2021.
