Juan Carlos Amorós, former head coach of Tottenham Hotspur from 2011-20 and Real Betis in Spain, has been hired by the Houston Dash as the club’s interim head coach. He replaces James Clarkson, who was placed on leave after allegations of abuse came forward in an NWSL Players Association investigation. Sarah Lowdown will remain acting head coach until Amorós’ arrival in late June, and has been named First Assistant Coach.
