The Houston Dash on Wednesday named Alex Singer as the team’s first dedicated general manager. Singer is a former professional player who saw time in WPS and the NWSL and most recently worked for sports and entertainment firm Octagon, which has worked on media rights for the NWSL in the past and represents Trinity Rodman, among other players, through its talent arm. Singer will “oversee all soccer operations including player personnel and roster management.”
