Heather O’Reilly tells BBC Sounds that she is coming out of retirement to play for Irish champions Shelbourne FC. O’Reilly’s last professional match was the NWSL Championship on Oct. 27, 2019. Shelbourne are champions of Ireland and begin first-round play in the UEFA Champions League on August 18 against Slovenia champions Pomurje. O’Reilly was announced on Thursday as eligible for the National Soccer Hall of Fame, but unretiring would affect her eligibility.
