Melchie Dumornay scored twice on Wednesday to lift Haiti to the Women’s World Cup for the first time. Haiti defeated Chile, 2-1 in a global playoff, ending Chile’s hopes of making back-to-back World Cups. Haiti is the fifth Concacaf team to qualify and will join European champions England, Denmark, and Asian champions China in Group D. Dumornay just signed with on a three-year deal that begins in July.
