Saturday’s Gotham FC-North Carolina Courage match was postponed two hours before the scheduled kickoff “due to COVID-19 protocols within the Courage’s tier one personnel,” according to a statement from Gotham FC. The game was to be Gotham’s regular-season home opener at Red Bull Arena. Each team was already to be slated without multiple starters due to COVID-19 protocols. It is the first time this year an NWSL match has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 protocols.
