This past weekend, top French teams played in the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France. In the 89th minute, Amandine Henry went in for a challenge and had a bad collision with her knee and an opposing player on Stade de Reims. Henry walked off the pitch of her own volition, but was wary of placing weight on the leg and needed to stop before making it to the sideline. On Monday, Olympique Lyonnais announced that Henry had sprained her knee and had some injury to her lateral collateral ligament (LCL). The team is expecting a six week recovery time for the injury.
