FIFA approved an international match calendar for the 2024-2025 season. The calendar will have six international windows, including the Olympic Tournament (July 25-August 10, 2024) and the Concacaf W Gold Cup (February 20-March 10, 2024). In addition to the calendar, FIFA Council unanimously approved “the establishment of a dedicated task force on player welfare.” The welfare task force will help to “ensure the smooth implementation of player welfare principles such as mandatory rest periods.”
