Emma Hayes, who The Equalizer reported on Saturday is set to become the next U.S. women’s national team coach, is expected to make seven figures annually and could be paid as much as U.S. men’s national team coach Gregg Berhalter, sources tell EQZ. Previous U.S. women’s coaches made a fraction of their men’s team counterparts despite the U.S. women winning the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. Vlatko Andonovski made 27% of Berhalter’s salary.
