The U.S. women’s national team announced Thursday that Seattle Reign defender Jordyn Bugg departed camp “due to a hamstring issue.” She is replaced on the SheBelieves Cup roster by Angel City defender Emily Sams. Sams has made nine appearances for the senior national team, recording one goal and one assist. Bugg is the second defender to be replaced due to injury in this camp after Avery Patterson replaced Kate Wiesner.
