The Kansas City Current became the first team to book a spot in the NWSL playoffs with their 2-0 home win over the North Carolina Courage on Saturday night. It is their second straight playoff berth after losing to the Orlando Pride in the 2024 semifinals. Head coach Vlatko Andonovski joins Mark Parsons with 7 playoff appearances, most among NWSL head coaches. The shutout was a league record 6th in a row.
