Amid questions about her future, 40-year-old Christine Sinclair posted a video of cleats hanging over a goalpost on her social media channels on Thursday. In a statement to The Equalizer, Canada Soccer said “we will respond accordingly” after Sinclair elaborates. Sinclair was named to Canada’s roster for upcoming friendlies against Brazil this month. Canada coach Bev Priestman said this week that she has had “confidential” conversations with Sinclair about the world-leading scorer’s future. Arashi Madani reports there is a plan for Vancouver/Victoria send-off matches.
