The U.S. women’s national team attacker hasn’t played in nearly 18 months since she tore her ACL in June 2022 and fans will have to wait even longer to see the young talent back on the pitch. Chelsea manager Emma Hayes told media on Friday that Macario is unlikely to play in any fixtures before Christmas, moving her return timeline further back. The Stanford graduate signed for the English club a year after her initial injury and has yet to play.
