Canada Soccer has announced the hiring of Charmaine Crooks as Canada Soccer’s new acting president, while Kelly Brown has taken the role of acting Vice-President. Crooks is the first woman and person of color to lead the organization, according to Canada Soccer. Crooks was a five-time Olympian and silver medalist for Canada in 1984. She recently filled the role of Vice-President for the last two years. Former president Nick Bontis resigned on Feb. 27.
