Basketball sensation and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has joined the ownership group trying to bring an NWSL expansion team to Cincinnati. The group, led by ownership of MLS side FC Cincinnati, is one of several finalists hoping to be the league’s 16th team beginning play in 2026 alongside Bos Nation FC. Groups from Cleveland, Denver, Nashville and Philadelphia are also being considered but Cinicinatti is considered a favorite because of its ownership and existing infrastructure, according to ESPN.
