On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the NWSL awarded NJ/NY Gotham FC goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger the award of goalkeeper of the year. Berger, who is German, is the first European player to win this award. Berger conceded only 16 goals in the 2024 NWSL regular season and held a save percentage of 80.49. Berger also plays as a goalkeeper for the German women’s national team and has made 17 appearances for her country.
