Steve Baldwin said on Tuesday that he has resigned as CEO and managing partner of the Washington Spirit, but he stopped short of saying he would sell his ownership share of the NWSL team. A club spokesperson confirmed that, as of now, Baldwin intends to retain his investment. The Spirit were removed indefinitely from NWSL governance last week following a league investigation. Baldwin has previously sat on the NWSL’s Board of Governors.
